At Onit, Eric oversees the company’s overall strategic direction, planning, and execution. A passionate leader and entrepreneur, he has founded four companies over the past 25 years, two of which have been software startups. Previously, Eric served as an entrepreneur-in-residence for the Houston Technology Center (HTC), a business accelerator for Houston-based emerging technology companies. His first software startup, Datacert, Inc., is an industry-leading provider of corporate, legal, and IP spend and matter management solutions for Fortune 500 companies. During his more than 10 years as the CEO, president, and chairman of the board, Eric grew the company to $28 million in revenue and secured more than 100 Fortune 500 customers. Under his leadership, Datacert became one of the fastest-growing technology companies in North America, with three consecutive listings on the Inc. 500. Prior to Datacert, Eric co-founded PeerPoint Technologies, where his work helped identify new technology for e-invoice data management. Eric is a pioneer in the creation of the Legal Electronic Data Exchange Standard (LEDES) and is an authority on the Uniform Task Based Management System (UTBMS). Eric has a bachelor’s degree in English Literature and earned an MBA from Rice University. He is a member of the Rice Alliance for Technology and Entrepreneurship and a board member for the Make-a-Wish Foundation of the Texas Gulf Coast and Louisiana, a non-profit organization that grants wishes for children with life-threatening illnesses. A versatile global technology executive, Scott brings a proven track record of transforming software businesses to the Onit team. Data-driven and people-oriented, Scott is known for his strong operational and inspirational leadership, simplifying the complex into an actionable view of the world to drive focus, deliver customer outcomes, and scale businesses. Scott brings a depth of experience in legal technology solutions, having led the legal software solutions business unit at LexisNexis. There, he drove revenue growth in a portfolio of five software businesses serving corporations and law firms with workflow automation and productivity solutions. Scott has also served in key roles at several other prominent companies. At Honeywell, Scott was VP of a global software and solutions business. As a key player on the Corporate Strategy team at AT&T, he helped shape the future direction and assessed opportunities for the telecom provider. Prior to that, Scott served in executive leadership roles for Sabre Corporation, the leading global travel commerce, software, and services company and the creator of Travelocity. Earlier in his career, Scott was a principal with Booz & Co., the leading global management consultancy. He advised senior executives on business strategy, operations, financial performance, and M&A across the United States, Europe, and Asia. Scott holds an MBA from Duke University’s Fuqua School of Business and a bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering from Northwestern University. Mark has more than 25 years of executive and entrepreneurial experience, including creating and growing businesses through expertise in go-to-market strategy, customer acquisition, organizational performance, product development, new business development, and negotiation. At SimpleLegal, Mark leads overall business operations for the Commercial businesses — including sales, marketing, product, and customer experience — to drive value creation and growth. Before SimpleLegal, Mark was CEO of hiQ Labs, an AI company applying machine learning (ML) to public information. He has held several executive leadership roles where he contributed to notable successes, including the growth of Cisco’s TelePresence video business from startup to $1B and the $420M acquisition of Savi Technology. Mark was also co-founder of TenHands, a video-as-a-service company for collaboration, web, and mobile application developers. Mark holds an MBA from Boston College, a master’s in engineering from Stanford University, and a bachelor’s in engineering from Clemson University. York has 25 years of finance and operations experience, including CFO positions at several privately held companies in the Internet and technology industries. A seasoned executive with extensive experience managing finance organizations for high-growth companies, York has completed many strategic acquisitions and divestitures, raised capital in debt and equity markets, and managed multiple shareholder exits. He previously served as CFO at Riversand Technologies and Idera, where he was responsible for overall financial operations and reporting. York holds a master’s degree in science and a bachelor’s degree in business administration from Texas A&M University. Neil is an award-winning marketing executive who has led global teams at a variety of IT, security, and enterprise software firms – from Dow Jones component and bellwether stock companies to small-caps and pre-IPO unicorns. His previous experience includes acting as CMO at Behavox, where he established the marketing function for the early-stage compliance and security company. At Quote-to-Cash CPQ/CLM provider Apttus, he served as Vice President of Worldwide Marketing, evolved the company’s brand, and transitioned demand generation to an integrated marketing model designed for growth at scale. Other marketing leadership positions for Neil have included executive vice president of publicly traded A10 Networks and vice president of marketing at Armor Defense. Earlier in his career, Neil led marketing communications and PR teams at some of the world’s largest tech companies. He led various teams for Cisco, providing market visibility for more than half of the Dow Jones component’s business. While there, he was named one of the industry’s top-15 tech PR professionals. In addition to Cisco, Neil served as the head of worldwide PR at bellwether memory chip maker Micron Technology and head of marketing communications at cybersecurity firm Trend Micro. Neil has a bachelor’s degree in English from the University of California, Davis, and a master’s degree in mass communications from San Jose State University. Chris has over 25 years of technology research and software development experience, including several key management and executive positions at various high-growth companies, such as Datacert, Digicontract, and Wolters Kluwer ELM Solutions. At Onit, Chris evaluates and implements new systems and infrastructure and ensures technologies are used efficiently and securely. Additionally, he creates quality assurance and data protection processes and communicates the company’s technology strategy to our consulting and business partners and customers. Chris most recently served as CTO for Innovative Interfaces, where he led the engineering and product management team and was responsible for converting client/server-based technologies into a multi-tenant system leveraging cloud-based microservices for global library systems. He is well-versed in leading technology strategy and all aspects of product engineering and was one of the key inventors named on a patent of a high-profile technology platform. Chris holds a bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering from Baylor University. Before joining Onit, Brad served as Chief Operations Officer and Chief of Staff for Advocacy and Oversight at a Fortune 100 global financial services company with more than $1 trillion in assets under management and 14,000 employees globally. While there, he had a leadership role in building legal operations capabilities designed to drive productivity and cost reductions. Prior to that, Brad was Managing Director for Process Excellence, Reengineering and Transformation at TIAA and held key executive positions at Bank of America, GE, and JPMorgan Chase. Brad holds an MBA in Competitive Strategy and Quantitative Methods from Fordham University, a bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering from the University of Colorado, and a Master Black Belt in Six Sigma Quality and Change Management (GE Certified). She is currently general counsel at Onit where she is responsible for all legal support for Onit and its family of companies. Stasha and her team work closely with the Onit leadership team and other key stakeholders to effectively deliver legal services, including contract lifecycle management, spend management, M&A, compliance, data privacy, and other areas of significant company-wide impact. Incidentally, she also enjoys using Onit tools to help her team run an efficient legal department. Stasha’s rich experience and background includes serving as senior legal counsel at ZS Associates, Inc., a boutique consulting firm, and corporate counsel at Hewitt Associates (now known as Alight Solutions), a human resources outsourcing firm. Stasha received a bachelor’s degree from the University of Chicago and a J.D. from the University of Michigan. While there, he started and grew an early e-discovery technology practice. In 2002, he left private practice to join a young e-billing company, TyMetrix. As vice president of sales for TyMetrix for 14 years, he helped take the company from four clients and $2 million in revenue to 250 clients and $60 million in revenue. He came to Onit in 2016 when it had a few dozen customers. Matt has spent his career working with clients and industry leaders and has a passion for developing solutions to manage the business of law and to drive the hyper-automation of the legal space. Over the arch of his career thus far, he has worked with over 200 of the Fortune 500 and 400 of the Global 2,000. Matt has a bachelor’s degree in English from the University of Hartford and a J.D. from The University of Connecticut School of Law. He has more than two decades of professional services experience in software and finance, including technology management, business and consulting operations, business process consulting, professional services, and contract management. Scott’s broad and varied background includes serving as the executive vice president of global professional services at Openlink, where he was responsible for driving professional services sales and managing professional services globally. Prior to that, he was vice president of professional services at Amphora, where he maintained executive relationships for product implementations and managed energy trading software implementations. During his career, Scott also held several key management and executive financial positions at various high-growth companies.
