The Seminole Tribe of Florida Modernizes Legal Operations with Onit

As one of the most successful Native American tribes in the United States, the Seminole Tribe of Florida manages a wide range of legal matters, from governmental and gaming law to high volumes of document requests. However, until recently, its Legal Department relied entirely on a paper-based filing system.

“Documents were everywhere, filing decisions was manual, and retrieving information was time-consuming,” said Staff Attorney Evonne Andris. “We’d spend weeks on file purges and constantly lost time navigating the subject-matter-based system that just couldn’t scale.”

With increasing caseloads and growing operational complexity, the department recognized the need for a centralized, digital legal matter management solution.
